Lintern can run heuristic checks on text you choose to scan (for example, in the browser). Results flag content that matches rules and detectors in our catalog—they are not a compliance audit, attestation, or certification of any kind.

Packs or labels that reference laws, regulations, or standards (such as HIPAA, CCPA, SOC 2, or security frameworks) indicate that we group rules around themes inspired by those topics. They do not mean Lintern ensures you meet those requirements, that a regulator would agree with our interpretation, or that clearing or not seeing findings equals compliance.

Findings depend on our catalog, thresholds, and how text is presented; they may miss issues or raise false positives. Nothing on Lintern is legal, regulatory, or professional compliance advice. You are responsible for your own compliance program and for obtaining advice from qualified professionals where appropriate.
